Hey everyone!
We have a new model for you all! This one is called the "Syrtis" and is coming in as a replacement for the Huntsman model. The Huntsman didn't quite turn out as we'd intended and as such, never quite felt right. The Syrtis is much closer to what we originally had in mind and is a lot more ergonomic and tactile.
This model involves quite a lot of "firsts" for us. This is our first multi-scale build and presented some interesting challenges along with it. Thankfully all went well and this model heralds us offering multi-scale builds as a custom option on all builds.
Secondly, it's a first prototype of a new "Resin Channel" body structure. Each of the body segments is connected via clear resin channels that run all the way through the body. This provides not only an interesting aesthetic but allows for some new ways for our clients to customise their guitars. You could mix and match central body and wing segments in different woods and colours to provide some really cool combinations! Not to mention, different coloured resins or inlaid LED lighting along the channels.
This particular Syrtis is made of Australian Jarre Burl with a Macassar Ebony neck & Bocote fretboard. We think it looks very striking and love the mottled & cracked nature of the Jarre.
